Welcome to the Tenth Anniversary PADSIS Conference.
This is the principal gathering of Directors of Sport in Independent Schools in the UK, and an unrivalled opportunity to keep abreast of current developments, and network with like minded professionals.
The Conference Programme is focused on the role of the Director of Sport as a leader. High profile speakers will present cutting edge research on culture building and coaching, which are two of the most significant dimensions of this role.
The afternoon offers a wide range of seminar topics to match the priorities of individual teachers and schools. We are pleased to welcome back, by popular demand, Des Ryan, from Arsenal. He will build on his presentation from the 2017 Conference to give practical guidance on how schools can build the type of programme of athletic development that he illustrated. Equally significant, Ali Oliver will look at how PE and Games might be re-branded to engage reluctant girls.
Last year, we introduced a discussion forum on Thursday afternoon, which was attended by over 100 Directors of Sport. The purpose of this was to share views on common issues and concerns. This will be repeated for 2019, allowing a sharing of experience on practical issues. The Forum will no doubt lay a foundation for further discussion at the Conference Dinner, at which we welcome England netball Head Coach, Tracey Neville MBE, who will tell the story of the cultural developments which led to an unprecedented Gold Medal at the Commonwealth Games
We hope to welcome you at your professional community’s most significant annual event.
Complimentary PADSIS polo shirt for every attendee! Please indicate on the booking form the size(s) you require.
