Sport plays a critical role in independent schools, never more so than in the current challenging times. Directors of Sport are often required to be magicians in every area, pulling competition successes out of the proverbial hat, managing complex situations with pupils, parents and colleagues, adding increasing amounts of wellbeing and widening participation to an ever-expanding programme. There is the additional challenge of operating a large budget that is continually under pressure. Managing expectations and creating the very best sporting environment for all requires the best working relationship with the Head. Hosted by one the UK’s most experienced independent school Heads, this seminar aims to provide a forum to discuss issues facing Directors of Sport today and to consider potential solutions to ensure that the sporting agenda plays its full and appropriate part in your school's strategic development plan.
